Medipol Education and Healthcare Services Group incorporates 10 hospitals and 2 university campuses in total. Owing to its specialist crew and state of the art technological infrastructure, it is able to respond to domestic and foreign healthcare and education demands since 1992. The Largest and the most comprehensive center of the Group is Medipol Mega University Hospital.

Medipol Mega Hospitals Complex started providing healthcare services in July, 2012. It consists of 4 main buildings such as General Surgery Hospital, Cardiovascular Surgery Hospital, Oncology Hospital and Dentistry Hospital.

It has 515 beds capacity for inpatient treatment, and also 140 intensive care units which consist of 40 general, 53 newborn, 7 pediatric, 31 cardiovascular and 9 coronary intensive care units. The hospital provides services with 260 outpatient clinic room, 25 operating theatres and it comprises of 58 departments or disciplines together with their sub-branches. Considering all this capacity, it is the biggest private university hospital in Turkey.

Total personnel number of the hospital is 2468. There are 360 medical doctors. Among them, there are 164 academic members, 128 specialists, and 68 research assistants. 175 students from Faculty of Medicine, 201 students from Health Sciences Faculty (Nursing, Health Management, Physiotherapist, Nutrition and Diet) and 139 students from Health Services Vocational High School (Anesthesia, Radiology, Medical Laboratory, EEG Technician, Radiotherapy, Medical Documentation, First Aid-Emergency Service and Audiometry), which makes 515 students in total, have education at the hospital. Total number of nurses and midwifes are 507.

Soon after the hospital came into service, it has received Joint Commission International (JCI) quality accreditation certification. At the same period, it has received “JCI Academic Accreditation” which has been put into practice for the hospitals performing educational and scientific works since 2013 by JCI, and Medipol Mega University Hospital became the first accredited hospital in Turkey.

Today, the hospital has the ultimate technologic devices for its medical infrastructure. Some of the technologic devices are 1.5 and 3 tesla MRI and 16 and 256 section CT in Radiology Department, PET CT, Cardiac Spect, Spect CT and Radioactive Iodine Treatment unit in Nuclear Medicine Department, 2 Linac (Trilogy and Truebeam), Gamma Knife and CyberKnife in Radiation Oncology Department and Intra-operative Navigation and Intra-operative MRI in Neurosurgery and Orthopedics Department and 4 flat panel angiography devices, one of which is biplan, in Cardiology Department, and the latest Da Vinci Surgery Robot.

The strongest aspect of Medipol Mega University Hospital is that it provides all sets of technological devices and equipment which are needed for a department, and it has specialist physicians and auxiliary staff who have the necessary skills and experiment to operate these devices.

The hospital, having SGK (Social Security Institution) agreement in all branches, has given service more than 1.100.000 outpatients as of today and it has been in service nearly 100% bed occupancy rate. On average, 100 operations are performed each day. Advanced and complex surgical interventions are performed in every clinic. Some of these advanced surgical interventions are Liver and Renal Transplantation; Urology, Gynecology, Ear-Nose-Throat, General Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery interventions using robot-assisted surgery methods, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Epilepsy Surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery in Parkinson and other movement disorders, advanced Oncologic Surgery, Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery, advanced Dentistry and Jaw Surgery, Auditory brainstem Implant Surgery.

Adult and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation center, IVF center, Hearing and Balance Disorders center, Sleeping center, Traditional and Complementary Medicine center are among the special units.
