Parametric Design-53707
Product Code: ETNA-PM01
Parametric Design and Architectural Development
ETNA’s design department specializes in parametric modeling, digital geometry optimization, and form generation.
• Real-time parametric modeling using Rhino + Grasshopper infrastructure
• Wind and airflow simulations for aerodynamic studies
• Sun, shadow, and daylight analyses based on environmental data
• Membrane geometry optimization: minimum cutting waste, maximum tension balance
Each structure is formed through the integration of structural, aerodynamic, and climatic parameters.
Thus, every form is not only aesthetic but also a mathematically balanced solution in building physics.
⸻
Engineering and Structural Analysis
ETNA’s engineering team performs multidisciplinary analysis in accordance with international standards:
• Static & Dynamic Analysis: RFEM, Ideastatica, SAP2000
• Wind, snow, sand, and other load combinations
• Non-linear analysis of cable, membrane, steel, and aluminum structures
• Cable pre-tension optimization and membrane cutting pattern calculations
• Thermal expansion and deformation analysis for multilayer membranes
⸻
Wind Tunnel Testing & Mathematical Modeling
For large-span, free-form, or high wind load projects, ETNA applies wind tunnel test simulations supported by mathematical modeling.
Physical models are tested under controlled conditions, while computational simulations (CFD) provide precise pressure coefficient distributions (Cp) across the membrane surface.
These data are used to refine the structural model and ensure aerodynamic stability and safety.
Project Management & Method of Statement
ETNA applies the Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology for structured process management:
1. Concept & Feasibility Study
2. Design Development & Engineering
3. Shop Drawing & Fabrication Detailing
4. Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
5. Logistics, Site Planning & Safety
6. Installation & Method of Statement Execution
7. Testing, Commissioning & Maintenance
For each stage, ETNA provides detailed documentation:
• Time schedule (Gantt chart)
• Quality control reports
• Material test certificates
• Welding, tensioning, and assembly records
ETNA delivers main-contractor-level professional documentation for every project worldwide.
⸻
Production and Installation Infrastructure
• Production: CNC-controlled cutting, PVC/PTFE/ETFE membrane welding using HF technology
• Installation: On-site laser alignment, tension balancing, and load verification
• Monitoring: Post-installation analysis using drones and 3D scanning
All fabrication complies with ISO 9001, EN 1090-2, and EN 3834-2 standards.
