PEGELAK C-plus Antibacterial sutures are synthetic absorbable sterile surgical sutures which are flexible strands composed of a copolymer prepared and synthesized from 90 percent glycolide and 10 percent L-lactide(PGLA) (derived from glycolic and lactic acids) and are indicated for use in soft tissue approximation.
PEGELAK C-plus sutures contain a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent; namely Chlorhexidine diacetate at no more than 60 μg/m.
PEGELAK C-plus antibacterial is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation. Not for use in cardiovascular and ophthalmic surgery, and neurological tissues.
