Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Structural Rearrangements (PGT-SR) is a genetic test to detect imbalances in embryos' chromosomes that arising from one or both parents.
PGT-SR also detects numerical abnormalities of chromosomes not associated with parental chromosomal rearrangement
PGT-SR is done by using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) to analyze all 24 human chromosomes. It requires multiple trophoblast cells from a blastocyst biopsy.
PGT-SR involves testing embryos created through in vitro fertilization (IVF) and then transferring only normal embryos
