Thyme honey contains the essence of the thymus plant. It is a honey with a pleasant flavour and the slightly bitter taste of thyme. It is said to have healing properties. It is valued for its healthy ingredients. Its proline value is only slightly less than that of Anzer honey. To preserve the flavour, taste and nutrients of our natural raw honey varieties, these are drained from their honeycombs and strained through a fine-mesh filter without any heat treatment. Since the honey is untreated, crystallisation over time is an entirely natural process. To liquefy the honey, place the container in warm water not exceeding 40 oC or stir the upper layer with a fork.
