We use the EPDM granule rubber as a coating material for our sports and playground flooring (football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, hockey, athletics...)

The Epdm is a very flexible material and can be easily accommodated in all kinds of situations. One of the best qualities of Epdm is its elasticity, that make it weather proof and highly resistant and also helps the material to take any desired shape with no shrinkage, stretching or any other similar defects.

What is EPDM Rubber?

The EPDM rubber is formally known as Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, is a synthetic elastomer, highly resistant to the degrading effects of weathering, ozone, and UV ray exposure.

In Stil Spor we highly recommend using the EPDM as a type of outdoor flooring for applications where there is significant environmental exposure (sun, rain, low temperatures…).

We also use the SBR, which is another type of rubber, as a two-layer system together with the EPDM granule, where the SBR is the base layer, reacting as a shock and impact absorber, and the EPDM on top of it adding extra designs features. Those steps are mandatory to give a high level of longevity to the final product.

For our playgrounds and outdoor sports areas, we use the wet poor surfacing technique, that provide an important level of safety and protection to the kids and players that will use those platforms at the end of the project.
