Towards the end of 19th Century, delighted by the quality of local sesame seeds grown in and around Bayramic, Çanakkale, our ancestors started the production on a small scale. Back in the days, due to limited mobility around the region, we made our products available in nearby villages, farmers’ markets and fairgrounds to be able to establish a trusted and quality brand. We have registered TATLAN brand name during the late 1980’s and still working hard to produce on a larger scale, maintaining traditional approach to our core business.
Starting from 1990’s, we have invested in health and safety and hygiene that are crucial to our industry with a focus on new technologies and increased our production capacity year after year.
As of 2018, we are proud to be certified TSE, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005 and in addition we are exporting our products to various countries around the world specifically requesting Organic, Kosher or Hallal certificates. These certificates cover our production processes for tahini, tahini halva, molasses, a variety of fruit jams and honey products.
