MENGERLER - EGEMER

Ahmet Veli Menger Holding A.Ş.’s representative in the automotive sector, Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş., was founded in 1939. After a short period of ten years, in 1949, the company became the sole representative of Daimler Benz AG in Turkey. In 1958, the Mengerler Istanbul Davutpaşa Service Center was established to provide service for all Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

In 1953, the capital of Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş. was 2 million TL*, while by 1977 it had risen to 50 million TL*. In 1967, OTOMARSAN (Otobüs ve Motorlu Araçlar Sanayi A.Ş.) was founded with a 32% partnership by Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş.

By 1982, the company’s annual capital had reached 500 million TL*. Following Daimler-Benz AG’s decision in 1984 to consolidate all its activities in Turkey under one roof, all General Representation authorities held by Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş. were transferred to Otomarsan A.Ş. The company, however, continued to maintain its status as a founding partner.

In 1990, the trade name of OTOMARSAN A.Ş., in which Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş. was a shareholder, was changed to Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. In 1999, Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş. sold all of its shares in Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. to Mercedes-Benz and withdrew from the partnership.

In 2009, Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş. increased its capital to 35,136,300 TL. In 2012, with a vehicle sales and service turnover of 752,512,314 Euros (including VAT), the company achieved 25.97% of Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş.’s total vehicle sales turnover and 33.60% of its total service turnover. In the same year, 27.89% of Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş.’s total turnover was realized through Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş.

In 2012, all Mengerler dealerships together sold 13,159 vehicles in total, consisting of 11,615 new and 1,544 pre-owned vehicles. The Mengerler Authorized Service Centers received 147,157 vehicles that year. 31.02% of all vehicles serviced at Mercedes-Benz authorized service centers preferred Mengerler Authorized Services. During working hours, every 1.05 minutes, a vehicle left a Mengerler service station having received the requested service.

Continuing its investments uninterruptedly for the development of the Turkish automotive sector, the AVM Group invested a total of 77.7 million Euros between January 1993 and May 2013. As of May 2013, Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş., with 1,117 qualified employees and Mercedes-Benz authorized dealership and service locations in 10 provinces and 23 different sites nationwide, continues to provide exclusive service to its customers.
