Ekopons AS is the main producer and exporter of aggregates available in different grades for the construction sector.
The construction pumice produced in Kayseri mining area is known to be the lightest pumice in the world with its dry bulk density of 350 kg/m3.

With excellent water retention, aeration, heat insulation, capillarity and drainage properties Ekopons Pumice gives optimum results as a soil conditioner when used in landscape projects and lowers the irrigation costs especially in arid areas.

Advantages of using pumice in Lawn areas, Golf greens, Sports fields and Stadiums:
Pumice promotes well aerated soil with high water holding capacity. Its capillary properties improve drainage making it an excellent bedding material. Its high absorption of water and fertilizer capacity due to porous nature results in a saving of 30-50 % in consumptions of water and fertilizers.
Pumice is 100% natural , PH neutral, rich in nutrients and free of pathogens supporting strong root growth. It does not decompose or burn; it is strong, durable and sterile. It can be reused by an easy step of sterilization with steam. Its heat insulation property protects the plants from the daily changes in temperature as well.
Advantages of using pumice in Green Roofs & Green Wall Applications:
It is very important to use a lightweight material, not affecting the static of a building and at the same time providing acoustic and heat insulation, in green roofs also known as “roof gardening” or “planted roof technology”. Being lightweight due to low density,not adding any extra weight to the building where used and high thermal insulation properties, pumice is widely and advantageously used in green roofs and green walls.
