CFU System generally consists of Lamella System and Gravity Sand Filter.
LAMELLA SYSTEM
Lamella plates are placed into sedimentation tank to increase the efficiency of settling. There are channels to collect the clarified water from the sedimentation basin. The sludge separated from the clarified water settles down to the hopper of the unit and collected by a perforated pipe from the bottom.
GRAVITY SAND FILTER
Pre-treated water will be flowed into the Gravity Sand filters directly and gravity from Lamella-Flocculation system. The water passes through the filter for the removal of suspended and colloidal matters. Then it enters from the top of filters and exit from the bottom.
We have proposed two Gravity Sand filters for each 100m3/hr which will operate automatically and with sand backwashing continuously.
The filter media is cleaned by a simple internal washing system that does not require backwash pumps or storage tanks. The absence of backwash pumps means low energy consumption.GWC.CFU
