Description: The product is a practical cement-based suface repair mortar used for fixing cracked surfaces or plaster defects. It is used on non-structural surfaces.
Fields of Usage: Hardness, water absorptivity and strength of target surface are checked before hand. Gaps and moving parts on the surface are fixed. If water absorptivity of the surface is high, it is decreased using Aragonit water insulation additive. Remnants on the surface are cleaned. Surface can be dampened according temparature of the environment.
Application: 25 kg. Aragonit repair mortar is mixed with 6,5-7 liters of water with a low-speed mixer until a homogenous mixture has been obtained without any roundish lumps. This mixture is left to settle approximately for 10 minutes and after mixing again, it is ready to be used. Mortar is applied on the surface with a steel. If the surface is not plastered, mortar is applied on the surface in thickness of 0,5 cm. after it is dampened. There should be 3-4 hours of wait among layers and if needed second layer should be applied an the same thickness. Application thickness shouldn’t exceed 1 cm. on the surfaces to be repaired. If crack is shorter than 2 mm. the mortar is applied with a brush. After the application, tools should be washed. Materials whose application period is over shouldn’t be used again water.
Cautions and Precautions
• Application surfaces should be free from elements, such as dust, dirt, sweeps, oil etc.
• The mixer’s working rate should be maximum 120 speed.
• The prepared mortar should be consumed within 2 hours
• No additives other than water should be put into the material
• The surface should be protected from wind, water and sunlight during application
• The cement based materials shouldn’t be breathed directly and their contact with skin should be avoided. During the process, protective clothes should be put on
