Normally the valve is partly open to allow a preset constant flow rate through the DRF70/73 is determined indirectly using an orifice plate. the Head loss across the orifice is proportional to the actual flow rate. on Rising Head Loss, the DRF70/73 is automatically piloted to close. on the other case, the valve opens. thus the flow downstream demand. the DRF40 and 43 are used at 2 way and 3 Way level control.
